Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Artist, and Friend
Hi, I’m Darby—a burnt-out extrovert, recovering people-pleaser, and therapist with a deep love for storytelling and human connection. My background is in theater, which means I’m definitely annoying sometimes and, yes, constantly singing musicals. It also means I’ve spent a lot of time exploring what it means to step into different roles—on stage and in life.
Now, as a social worker and psychotherapist, I specialize in working with BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, faith transitions, relationships, sexuality, and identity. I’m also training to become a certified sex therapist because, well, sex is a big part of life, and we should all be able to talk about it openly and without shame.
I have what a loved one calls a “resting approachable face” (RAF), and have been passionate about inclusion. I believe healing happens in spaces where we can be real, imperfect, and deeply human. That's what I hope to create in my work and in my practice—a space of honesty, exploration, and connection (with a little mischief, and magic along the way).
Got a question, a thought, or just wanna say hi? I’d love to hear from you! I’m currently accepting new clients—and if I’m not the right fit, I’ve got a solid lineup of awesome therapists and resources I can point you to. You can also hop on my newsletter list for a mix of local goings-on, mental health nuggets, and the occasional ramblings.
Thanks for being here!
